Terms and Conditions

Payment may be made by cheque, bank transfer, debit card or major credit card. For items which are in stock (therefore can be dispatched immediately)  or the order is under £1000.00 we require payment with order. For all other UK orders we require 1/3rd as deposit with the balance paid 14 days after dispatch. Export orders require 1/3rd total as deposit with the balance due when the goods are ready for dispatch.

Tax All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are exclusive of UK  VAT. (Not applicable to exports.) The customer is responsible for all local taxes and European customers will need to provide their VAT number prior to shipping.

Acceptance The customer shall inspect the goods within three days after receipt and shall be deemed to have accepted the goods unless within this time after their receipt the Customer shall have notified us that the goods are rejected. (This does not however affect the customer’s statutory rights). If no such action has been taken Advanced Optical Interiors Limited shall consider the products being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their purposes, and may not accept any rejection at a later date.

Shipping and Handling Delivery will be by either our own transport, parcel carrier or pallet network. If it is not convenient to receive your order palleted we can arrange alternative transport.  Deliveries will normally occur between Monday & Friday but exact delivery times cannot be specified. Please provide a daytime telephone number so you can be contacted if necessary. With heavy items you will need to provide help with unloading and carrying of the goods onto your premises. Please do not sign the carriers consignment note “Received in Good Condition” unless you are completely satisfied they are in good condition.

Delivery Schedule It is our policy to try and fulfil all orders within 28 days. If a specific delivery date is required we will make every effort to comply. We can however only guarantee the delivery date if we confirm it in writing when the order is placed. This may also incur extra charges for special deliveries etc. If you arranging an independent fitter, we suggest that you do not schedule any installation work until the goods have been received. This will enable you to resolve any technical questions or to order specific additional  fittings as necessary.

Guarantee we make every effort to ensure the product ordered arrives with you in perfect condition. If for any reason you are not satisfied with our product or service, then please contact our customer care and we will endeavour  to resolve the problem.

Risk Assessments AOI has carried out risk assessments on all products. Risk of injury can be reduced on products protruding from the wall by:

a)      Where possible fitting a worktop underneath.

b)      Staff should be made aware of any risk.

c)       Tripping hazards should be removed from the vicinity of the displays.

d)      Visitors and customers should be made aware eg. “please keep your children under control”.

Lockable Displays not every display is suitable for every frame particularly lockable. Please check their suitability before relying on the security. We regret we are unable to take responsibility for the suitability of any of our displays due to the vast variety of sizes and styles of modern frames and sunglasses.

Wood Colours The wood shown may vary slightly from actual colours. Each piece of wood is unique and as with all natural products there are variations in grain and colour – please consider these as an integral part of the individual character of your piece of furniture. Please note that Cherry wood darkens considerably with exposure to light. It may take several months for it to reach a rich dark colour. The grain of American Walnut will enhance and lighten over time. Sample packs are available as a guide to colour grain and texture – please contact us on +44 01594 546386 to discuss your requirements.

Bespoke Items All our furniture is bespoke and specially made to your requirements. When an order is placed and the deposit made we assume that the client has taken care in checking the colour, dimensions and suitability to ensure that it is exactly what they require. We cannot ultimately take this responsibility.

Copyright All products, practice designs and proposals produced by Advanced Optical Interiors Ltd are automatically COPYRIGHTED under the INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ACT and as such we claim “First Owner” status. COPYRIGHT is said to be infringed if someone uses the whole or a substantial part of a copyright protected work without the permission of the owner. In the situation where our copyright is infringed enforcing our rights will be pursued. An agreement can be entered into where ownership can be transferred to another party.

Returns Policy  If you have cause to return faulty or defective goods, please telephone 01594 546386 for Return Instructions. Items returned for any other reason will be subject to a 25% handling charge.
